IBD for GPs and Physicians has been developed as part of the IBD GP Aware Project, an initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of general practitioners (GPs) and physicians to support people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

The project aims to improve health outcomes and the patient experience of care by increasing awareness of IBD, co-developing high-quality education resources, and supporting ongoing continuing professional development (CPD).

This work contributes to the third priority area of the IBD National Action Plan: supporting GPs to play a more effective role in the early detection, referral and ongoing management of IBD.

This portal gives healthcare professionals complimentary, unlimited access to a comprehensive range of learning resources, including eLearning modules, expert-led webinars and interactive online workshops.

Designed to fit around busy clinical practice, the resources provide practical, accessible education to help GPs and physicians build their knowledge and confidence in recognising, referring and managing IBD.
